Parents
As summer winds down, the troop will recognize the achievements of the past year on August 30 at 7 pm on Scout Hill. Please bring a camp chair, the family, and your smile! Treats available after the ceremony.
Our meeting time is 7:00 pm — please help your scout arrive on time.
Looking for someone to coordinate community service projects (not Eagle projects). The number of hours reported by our scouts as service has dropped way below what they should be. We want to make it easy for patrols to find a service project as part of their patrol goals. Let me know if you are interested.
Uniforms and Scout Spirit
Scout spirit, which is usually requirement #2 for any rank, cites ‘proudly wears the uniform’ as criteria for moving to the next rank.
We have seen scouts travel to and from camping trips and come to meetings without the proper uniform. Please do better.
You may not wear open-toe shoes to a meeting or event.
Once you make Star — you should have a sash with your merit badges sewn on.
Next Meeting 26 Jul 7:00 pm
7:00 pm
Flags: Wolf-Dragons
Clean-up: Goats
We will ‘ring-the-bell’ for a few scouts making rank. Parents needed for Boards of Review. Please contact the advancement chair (advancement.troop1011@gmail.com).
Advancement
Thanks to the hard work of Johanna Sullivan, Charity Muldoon, Garrett Bailey, our instructors, and you — we are getting back in a routine for advancement.
Scouts and Parents — if you are scheduled for a scoutmaster conference and board of review — you must bring a parent with you. We cannot staff a board of review (3 adults) unless we have your help!
Scouts should email the advancement chair when they think they are ready to advance. Skills reviews may be requested anytime. Scoutmaster conferences are scheduled once all requirements are met.
